Plant Description: Perennial to 1 m high with ovate or broadly lanceolate leaves 2-8 cm long. Flowers solitary or slightly clustered, the petals 7-10 mm long, light orange-yellow.

Plant Trivia: Often seen in gardens and waste sites. Leaves eaten by rabbits and are eaten by Texas tortoise.

Occurrence: Frequent on clay or loamy soils in openings and waste places along roads
