Plant Description: Annuals to 18 inches tall. Leaves alternate, without petioles; blades clasping the stem, roundish to ovate or oblong, up to 3 inches long, the margins toothed. Flowers in heads; corolla red or reddish purple, all radially symmetrical, up to a cm long.
Plant Trivia: Introduced species likely through the nursery industry. First reported in Texas in 1983.
