Plant Description: Perennial, hairy herbs with ascending or reclining stems to 75 cm long. Leaves 1.5-5 cm long, triangular ovate, often lobed, alternate, margins shallow cut and toothed. Flowers in leafy racemes, the petals 1.5-2 cm long, rosy orange.
Plant Trivia: Plant is endemic to Texas.
Field Identification:
Occurrence: Frequent on deep sands both inland and along the coast.
Bloom Period: March-May sometimes to September.
