Plant Description: Perennial with creeping stems to 1 m or higher with mostly triangular-ovate leave 1-3 cm long, narrow, fleshy, opposite; forming matts. Heads or pikes 6-20 cm long, perfect in dense cylindrical or roundish heads, the tepals about 4 mm long, white.

Field Identification: Low growing succulent plant with puff white flower pods.
Occurrence: Common on moist brackish or salty soils along beaches in flats or marshes.
