Plant Description: Annual to 45 cm high with upright to spreading stems. Leave 1-9 cm long, oblanceolate to lanceolate, alternate, margins toothed to deeply lobed. Flowers axillary, radial, with yellow petals (4), 2-5 cm long, inferior ovaries.
Plant Trivia:
Field Identification: Attractive, low-growing, yellow-petaled, evening primrose in sandy areas. Distinguished from other yellow Oenothera by having toothed or lobed leaf margins.
Occurrence: Frequent on sandy soils throughout the area.
