Plant Description: Perennial to 50 cm high with spatulate leaves 4-12 cm long, in basal rosettes and alternate on stems. Flowers in racemes, radial, petals 5, the corolla 5 – 7 mm long, white aging to pink or lavender. Stems often reddish.
Plant Trivia: prefix “e” (ebracteatus) means “without,”
Field Identification: found on low moist soils; basal leaves; erect flower stalk.
Occurrence: Frequent on damp brackish or salty low grounds along the coast
Bloom Period: March – November
