Setaria parviflora

Description: Rhizomatous perennial with shott, knowty rhizomes. Culms to 1.2 m tall. Ligules less than 1 mm long. Panicles 3-8 cm long, densely spicate. Lower paleas equaling the lower lemmas.
Location: Found in moist areas along the shoreline of lakes, in ditches, along streams, or in swales. Predominantly the eastern half of the state Dallas to Brownsville.
Soil Type: Most soils.
