Andropogon glomeratus



Description: A cespitose perennial growing up to 2.5 m tall.
Location: Throughout most of the eastern half of Texas. Common and easily recognizable roadside species of seepy areas, ditches, bogs, and other wet areas.
Soil Type: Most soils that remain damp.
Trivia: Cespitose means in dense tufts or clumps.
Economic, Environmental Importance: Poor livestock and wildlife values; is used as an ornamental.
