Plant Description: Perennial to 80 cm high, the stems and leaves heavily armed with stinging bristles. Leaves palmately lobed, 10-15 cm wide, alternate. Bleed white sap when injured. Flowers in flat-topped clusters, the white perianth 2.5-3 cm wide. Male and female flowers in clusters together. Tepals grown together basally. Usually 5-lobed. Have a thick fleshy root.
