Plant Description: An erect annual, 30-120 cm tall. Leaves opposite 4-20 m long including the petioles, 2- or 3-pinnat. Heads 5-7 mm wide. Rays inconspicuous, whitish; disks yellow. Pappus awns retrorsely barbed.

Field Identification: Common at Blucher Park. Only Straggly aster with white petals and yellow center. Normally seen in the creek.
Occurrence: Found locally in Corpus Christi in a few places. First reported in 1982 from Greta Ranch, Refugio County.
Bloom Period: Year-round.
