Plant Description: Annual with scrambling stems to 120 cm long. Herb, stems sprawling, with tiny, stiff, curved bristles. Leaves whorled in groups of 6-8 blades, spatulate up to 2.6 cm long. Flowers radial, in axillary chymes, white, less than 3 mm broad.

Field Identification: Bristles, while not strong, make it so the plant will likely “stick” or “catch” onto clothing.
Occurrence: Common on various soils in prairies, opening areas, and waste places.
Bloom Period: March-May
