Plant Description: Annual with scrambling stems to 120 cm long. Herb, sems sprawling, with stiff, curved bristles. Leaves whorled in groups of 6-8 blades spatulate up to 2.6 cm long. Flowers radial, in axillary chymes, white, less than 3 mm broad.

Field Identification: Bristles while not strong will allow the plant to stick onto clothing.
Occurrence: Common on various soils in prairies, openings and waste places.
