Plant Description: Perennial to 60 cm high with upright or reclining stems. Leaves incised or deeply lobed, 1.5-4 cm long. flowers in upper axils, the corolla 1-2 cm long, white rarely partly purple.
Field Identification: This is a dark green plant with lobed, opposite leaves. Its flowers appear to be the tips of leaves tipped in white as though a bird had pooped on it. Lateral margins of the leaf are toothed and lobed. Its white flowers distinguish it from the American germander which is purple.
Plant Trivia:
Occurrence: Frequent on heavier sands or clay in pastures and woods.
